Your own 4x4 and driver-guide: Ait Ben Haddou, Dades, Todra and a night in the Erg Chebbi dunes

Discover the Sahara on a fully private three-day journey from Marrakech, with your own air-conditioned 4x4 or minivan and a licensed driver-guide who adapts every stop to you. No big groups, no fixed schedule — just you, your travel companions and the most spectacular landscapes of southern Morocco. On day one, you cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) to the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, then continue through Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley to the Dades Valley, where you spend the night in a selected riad or hotel with dinner and breakfast. On day two, you drive the famous Tissadrine switchbacks of the Dades Gorges and walk through the Todra Gorge before heading via Erfoud and Rissani to Merzouga. At sunset, you ride a camel into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to your desert camp, where dinner is served under the stars, followed by Berber drumming around the fire. Wake up early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise, enjoy breakfast at camp, and return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. The drive back to Marrakech takes you via Ouarzazate — with an optional stop at the Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah — and over the High Atlas, arriving in the early evening.
